Chapter 1

1. Why is the first sentence strange? What does it set up?
The first sentence talks about the mertopolis london containing skyscraper with ridiculous quantities imcomparable with cities this era.
2. What is the meaning of the World State’s motto “COMMUNITY, IDENTITY, STABILITY?”
The world state presents a national and not individual leadership.
3. Why does the fertilizing room look so cold, when it is actually hot inside? What goes on there?
The fertilizing room is one of many facilities which comprise all the equipment needed creating human fetuses through sientific goals of the time. The progress provides the world with new workforces, but coldness appears because of the unhuman nearly robotic scientist playing 'god' and creating life.
4. Why do particulars “make for virtue and happiness,” while generalities “are intellectually necessary evils?”

5. How do people know who they are in this society?
People living in a era where 'social stability' is the highest social goal have to accept their given rules without questioning, because stubborn heads get unhesitating filtered out of the community and removed out of the civilization.
6. Why use the Bokanovsky process at all? How is it an instrument “of social stability?”
The Bokanovsky process is used as a principle to clone fetuses to create masses of scientific identical twins generating the most effecient workforce. These 'humans' live at the bottom of the society building the solid base of the world states society. Unable to rebel after lowering their EQ with
asphyxia in young age they are the perfect tool.
7. Why don’t the Epsilons “need human intelligence?”
Epsilons are used for the hardest physical work and get produced through the Bokanovsky process in thousends. Their work doesnt aquire any intelligence.
